Description

Thank you for your interest in this event!

The event is a collaboration between SPSSI-UK, the Centre for Identity and Intergroup Relations, School of Psychology, and the Senator George J. Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice (Queen’s University Belfast).

The event will bring together social psychologists, practitioners and policy specialists who share a common interest in linking theory and practice to promote effective policy in the UK. More specifically, the symposium will address the question:

Can shared space promote intergroup reconciliation and respect?

From this meeting, the SPSSI-UK Steering Group will distribute a briefing for relevant policymaker and practitioner audiences through the SPSSI web site as a public resource.

Speakers include (alphabetically): Prof John Dixon (Open University), Anne Glick (One Globe Kid), Prof Miles Hewstone (Oxford University), Prof Joanne Hughes (Queen’s Belfast University), Tina Keil (University of Exeter), and Dr. Clifford Stevenson (Anglia Ruskin University), among others.
